I'm sure you can find some reviews. But see if he has them connected, then see if you can bring over your favorite music to his house and do some listening. Or see if he will let you take them to your house and connect them there. It will be more carrying, but the advantage is you will hear them in the environment where you will do your listening. Environments have a large affect on the ultimate sound.
